Why explore China?

A closer look at your future in China.

China has a broad higher-education sector with courses taught in Chinese and a selection of programmes in English. International students often explore medicine, engineering, business, computing, science, Chinese language and research degrees. The first step is identifying exactly which programme and teaching language a university offers.

For applicants considering MBBS, recognition deserves particular attention. A university’s general reputation or marketing materials alone are not enough to establish that a qualification will satisfy requirements in Pakistan. Students must check current rules issued by the relevant Pakistani medical regulator and the eligibility of the institution and programme before paying fees.

Scholarship support may cover some tuition, accommodation or living costs depending on the award. Different sources of funding can have different eligibility rules and payment arrangements. BBEC can help you structure questions to ask an institution and compare your options.

Programmes & routes

Academic pathways worth exploring.

Programme availability and entry requirements depend on the institution, your profile and the intake.

The practical details

Plan with the complete picture.

Clear financial and admission planning helps you make better decisions long before you pay an application fee.

Entry requirements

Entry requirements vary by university and programme. FSc/Intermediate holders may explore eligible foundation or undergraduate routes; bachelor’s graduates may explore master’s study; research candidates typically need relevant qualifications, supporting documents and academic evidence.

Tuition & living costs

Compare the complete award letter with stated tuition, hostel fees, registration charges, insurance, medical checks and living costs. Ensure that any advertised allowance is clearly identified as monthly or annual.

Scholarships & funding

University, regional and national scholarship schemes may exist. Any stipend such as RMB 1,200–2,200 must be advertised only where a specific written university or award offer confirms it; do not treat that range as a universal scholarship.

Visa & study permission

Visa category, supporting documents, admission notice and other application materials depend on the intended study duration and current Chinese consular rules. Universities may also prescribe medical or registration procedures.
